| "Props" = short for "proper respect or "proper recognition". It's short for something. That works for me. "Rims" = part of the whole thing to which you're actually referring. Like if you called a bird a "wing". People would be like "Wtf??" So then later, when you wanted to specifically refer to the wing, you'd really confuse people. Same thing with referring to "rims" - sometimes people really ARE just asking about the rims, and how silly is it to have to specify, "Yeah, I really just mean the metal part that goes around the edge!" when you already said "rim" Just because people shifted the meaning on you? if no one ever talked about actual rims, that might be different. Anyway, just my personal gripe with that one. I already know I'm a Grammar Nazi... ;-P
